The Technician’s Specific Responsibilities
- First, have fun, play with kids, make a difference in their and their families lives!
- Conduct direct therapy sessions with children ages 2-18 with autism or related disabilities.
- Find creative ways to play, build rapport, and interject learning opportunities within play frequently.
- Collect data about students’ behaviors through direct observation.
- Assist BCBAs as directed with behavior reduction assessments and skill acquisition plans.
- Teaching students the specific behavior skills per their treatment plan.
- Nurture students’ social skills.
- Communicate professionally and effectively with parents and supervisors.
- Write session notes that accurately portray progress and barriers toward treatment goals.
